PUNK ROCK EDITION

 

• The Interrupters-Los Angeles Ca.-Ska/punk outfit that has released an amazing new album, Fight The Good Fight (Hell Cat Records). First singles “She’s Kerosene” and “Gave You Everything”  are killer tunes. Fans of Rancid will love this band.

 

• Pup-Toronto Canada-Pup has released their third full length L.P. called Morbid Stuff  (Rise Records/Little Dipper). Record encapsulates sincerity and strong songwriting “Sibling Rivalry” is a must listen.

 

• Queen Zee-Liverpool U.K.-Engaging English band that encompasses both punk and the glam world of Bowie. Their self titled album Queen Zee (Sasstone Records) is chock full furious guitars and tongue in cheek lyrics. Phil Taggart of BBC Radio 1 described the band as “The Rocky Horror Picture Show on steroids“. Check out “Loner”.

 

• Abjects-London U.K.- Three piece all girl garage/punk band making huge waves across the pond. Debut L.P., Never Give Up (Yippee Ki Yay Records) recently released. Take a look at the video for “Never Give Up”.

 

• Dirty Nil-Hamilton Canada-high energy punk group whose 2018 album, Master Volume (Dine Alone Records), is making big noise. Dirty Nil won the 2017 Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year. Their video for “That’s What Heaven Feels Like” is impressive.

 

• From States Away-Ct/N.Y.-pop/punk band who formed in 2015. Their 2018 E.P., I Swear This Light Won’t Fade (From States Away Records), is a formidable piece of music. Their video for “Night & Day”  is a great representation of what From States Away is all about.
