KING KUEL – LIVE AT BLEACHERS WITH LIVEWIRED

On Saturday night, June 18th, Michael Cansdale put together another great show at Bleachers in Bristol with King Kuel as headliners. Chip Couture started out the night performing an excellent acoustic set . If I closed my eyes I could imagine being at a bonfire with friends. His music was very relaxing and excellent.

Next up was Livewired whom I’ve never seen before. I was pleasantly surprised. They had excellent vocals. The tight cover band features Katrina DeVona on lead vocals, Rob Dolan on lead guitar/vocals, Troy Clark on Bass/vocals and Jason Musshorn on drums/vocals . These guys are based out of Central Connecticut and are an 80’s rock cover band, playing artists like Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Journey and more. I really enjoyed them a lot and can not wait to see them again.

Finally the band we have been waiting for! King Kuel features Raymond Wheaton on lead vocals/guitar, William Yager lead guitar/vocals, CJ Kennedy on Bass/vocals and Fran Mynahan on drums. King Kuel hails from the Hartford area. It’s been awhile and is so great to see them again. They came on with a vengeance playing “Hello There” by Cheap Trick and they really blew me away.

On their 5th song, “Indestructible” they called up Zack Eriquezzo aka Zack Attack to play with them. Zack is a very talented 15 year old up and coming guitar player and absolutely loves these guys. He was humbled and thrilled to play with them. King Kuel had given him a guitar at a show and they are just the greatest guys ever .

They mixed their own songs such as “Lie to Me” and a new one called “She Don’t” from their new album to be released later this fall and I can not wait to hear it!! They played Jackal, Seether, Aerosmith and AC/DC as well and as always, they nailed it.The band ended out the night with their signature closer, an amazing rendition of “An American Band”. Catch King Kuel on July 9th on the Enfield green to truly experience their magic..

What a fabulous show this was. Thank you to Chip and the bands as well as Michael Cansdale for organizing another fabulous event.
