November 26, 2024 – Chelsea Cutler and Jeremy Zucker brought their signature blend of heartfelt lyrics and ethereal melodies to Brooklyn’s historic Paramount Theatre as part of their Brent Forever Tour. The 10-date tour has celebrated their beloved Brent series, and their Brooklyn stop was nothing short of magical. Joined by the opening act Jake Minch, the evening was an emotional journey through love, heartbreak, and nostalgia.
Connecticut-born singer-songwriter Jake Minch, signed to Republic Records, opened the night with a raw and intimate performance. His setlist, including tracks like “Handgun” and “Good Stuff,” along with a treasure trove of unreleased songs, showcased his knack for storytelling. Jake’s mellow voice and acoustic vibe perfectly set the stage for the evening.Though still an up-and-comer, his performance hinted at a promising future in the indie-folk scene.
When Chelsea Cutler and Jeremy Zucker took the stage, the audience erupted with energy. The Paramount Theatre, one of Brooklyn’s most beautiful and storied venues, provided the perfect backdrop for the duo’s introspective yet powerful set. Opening with “Ashes & Rust” and “Black & White,” the pair immediately captivated the crowd with their synergy.
The setlist wove through hits from their collaborative Brent EPs and solo favorites, creating an emotional tapestry that kept the audience engaged from start to finish. Highlights included the poignant “Parent Song,” the tender “This Is How You Fall in Love,” and the quietly devastating “You Were Good to Me.” The stripped-down performance of “Brooklyn Boy” was a particular standout, with its reflective lyrics resonating deeply in the heart of the city it was written about.
The duo’s chemistry was undeniable. Between songs, they shared anecdotes about their collaboration and expressed gratitude to fans who have supported them since the first Brent project. Chelsea and Jeremy’s banter was lighthearted and endearing, balancing the emotional weight of their music.
Every part of the night was filled with fans singing their hearts out, holding their loved ones as they sang along with Zucker and Cutler. The night closed with a stirring performance of “Just Breathe” and “This Is How You Fall in Love,” leaving the audience in awe.
The combination of the Paramount Theatre’s timeless ambiance and the artists’ modern, deeply personal music created a truly unforgettable experience. As the lights dimmed and the final notes echoed through the theater, it was clear that the Brent Forever Tour is a testament to the timeless power of collaboration, vulnerability, and connection.
