GHOST – MOHEGAN SUN ARENA – SKELETOUR WORLD TOUR

On 1/28/26. Ghost brought their “Skeletour World Tour” to a sold out Mohegan Sun Arena. Ghost‘s stop at the famed venue felt less like a concert and more like a grand, velvet-draped ritual. The kind of performance that makes you forget what day it is the moment the lights go down. The arena was transformed into a cathedral of sound. It had towering visuals, and a crowd that knew exactly when to chant, cheer and collectively lose its mind. From the opening moments, the band commanded the space with theatrical confidence. It proved that Ghost‘s arena scale ambitions fit Mohegan Sun like a perfectly tailored vestment.

As soon as Papa V Perpetua (Tobias Forge) hit the stage, the crowd went wild. Papa’s presence anchored the night. He was equal parts charismatic frontman and mischievous ringleader. He captivated the audience throughout the evening. His vocals carried a brazen spirit and his on-stage antics were extraordinary. His every movement set the packed house off. Papa’s poise was sharp and expressive. It made even the fans in the upper levels feel locked in to every note.
Ghost opened the night with “Peacefield” off their newest release Skeletá. From there, they delivered a 19 song set that had their faithful in pure bliss. Fans favorites such as “Lachryma”, “Call Me Little Sunshine”, “Circice”, “Santanized” and “Umbra” all had the house standing, singing and in ecstasy. The latter part of the show included Ghost‘s hits “Rats”, “Kiss the Go-Goat” and “Monstrous Clock”. Ghost encored with a ferocious finish. “Mary on a Cross”, “Dance Macabre” and “Square Hammer” had the Ghost devotees in a sublime frenzy.
The true magic of the night came from the seamless unity between Papa and the Nameless Ghouls. Sodo and Swiss (Guitars) were fire-infused and tore through their solos and riffs with unmitigated flair. Their magnetic demeanors were definitely highlights of the show. The backbeat of Rain (Bass) and Mountain (Drums) was a force of its own. Their airtight grooves kept the set surging forward. I cannot truly describe how good the Nameless Ghouls were. Every note they played carried electricity. They complemented Papa to a tee. Ghost is a seriously tight unit with a deep respect for dynamics and timing.
By the time the last notes rang out, Mohegan Sun Arena felt thoroughly initiated. The crowd poured out buzzing, voices hoarse and spirits high. They were already reliving their favorite moments in animated post-show recaps. This stop on the tour didn’t just meet expectations but reinforced why Ghost continues to rise. Their blending of theatrical grandeur with outstanding musicianship is impossible to forget. Papa V Perpetua and the Nameless Ghouls have forged something that is unique and special in the current music scene. It is surely something to herald to both heaven and hell.
