THE HYPNOSIS

The Hypnosis is a three piece rock band based out of Orange, Ct. who’s music is both vibrant and raw. Think Iggy Pop meets The Ramones and Keith Richards.

Their gig at LT’s Corner in Orange was proof positive. Shayne Fischman (lead vocals and guitar), James Bonvicini (Bass) and Pat Williams (drums) performed an eighteen song set that intermixed Blues, Punk, Rock and Hard Rock.

Fischman’s voice set the tone. He effortlessly blended coarse inflections with smooth cadences to create something original. His guitar work was captivating. Each song was played with precision. Bonvicini and Williams kept the beat on point and also delivered engaging backing vocals.

The Hypnosis’ set featured hits from different genres showcasing their diversity. It started with Chuck Berry’s Johnny B. Goode and ended with Enter Sandman from Metallica. In between there were tunes from Black Sabbath, the Rolling Stones, and Social Distortion. Now that’s some combination.

In between the covers The Hypnosis played several originals. Ragin’ Machine and Against The Wall were standouts.
