WE THREE KINGS – ARTIST SPOTLIGHT & SINGLES REVIEW
AMP has recently been in a rock & roll coma. We just went live with an interview with Black Smoke Trigger and now we get to review another cool rocking band. We Three Kings is a ruthless duo who hail from Manchester UK and their sound is pure adrenaline with hits of uncut speed. Rich ( Vocals/Guitar) and Pete (Drums) deliver shots of shameless fuzzy riffs, gnarly vocals and insatiable grooves. Their songs surrender every necessary ingredient for a down and dirty bluesy swampfest. We Three Kings hurl undiluted grenades of aural intensity. So, you better run to your local bomb shelter before you’re smacked with an intoxicating sonic earthquake.
We Three Kings released their first EP, Embers, in 2016. Their Fire EP followed in 2018. The band dropped their hard hitting single, “Give It to Me, Go!” in 2019 with “Walk” hitting the airwaves in 2021. 2023 saw their smash raver, “The Edge of Death”, come alive. The track is a steamroller with driving guitar riffs, flamboyant drums and huge propulsive vocals. Rich’s guitars erupt with a crushing emotional zest. His vocals are simply stomping. Monstrous in every way fashionable. Pete’s percussions are just as wicked. They emote a voluminous hammering fury. The song is tension filled and distributes an unsurmounted amount of rage. This is what real rock & roll sounds like.
This January, We Three Kings let loose their next dynamic torpedo. “Gold Digger” is fast, furious and savagely electric. The guitars rip with a muscular fierceness and dish out galvanic licks. Rich’s punky vocals are scalding. Every note is full of fire. The chorus is anthemic and flaring. Pete’s drums take no prisoners. They blast with an incendiary audacious edge. We Three Kings are on a mission to destroy any preconceived notion of what rock means. They demand you take notice. This music isn’t for the faint hearted. This is a balls to the walls burst of kinetic destruction.
I can only imagine what We Three Kings must be like live. The room has to go wild with the their combustible drive and crushing vibe. Their hi-powered spirit is addictive. If you enjoy listening to bands like Rivals Sons, Royal Blood, The Black Keys or Queens of the Stone Age, then We Three Kings is perfect for your setlist. Hop on and live the “Gold Digger” dream.
