WILD AMERICA / ZERO ONE ZERO / HALF HEARTED
AMP is revisiting three talented Connecticut artists who have previously been reviewed and have released new material..
WILD AMERICA
AMP reviewed Wild America‘s debut album, Gasoline, this past November. We described the record as: “a hook laden and anthem filled fun fest“. Well, the boys are back with an inspiring ode to humanity’s determined endurance to the current pandemic. “Stronger” is a positive manifesto to those effected during these trying times.
“Stronger” is a impassioned song full of intense emotions and memorable rhythms. Joe Labbadia’s vocals are heartfelt and earnest. The band’s musicianship is forefront with a deeply sincere richness. “Stronger also features the hearty vocals from featured vocalist, Roy Cathey ( Cold Sweat, SteelCity, The Fifth) who complements Labbadia perfectly.
The accompanying video is a poignant montage that totally embodies the profound message of “Stronger”.

ZERO ONE ZERO
Zero One Zero covers The Who’s, “The Real Me”, in order to give their fans a little teaser before the release of their upcoming album. The band picked a great song and nailed it to the tee. Rob Zawisza’s vocals are gritty and impressive. Mark Ahles is dynamic on drums and Marc Russell’s bass rocks. James Ferrentino on guitar is propulsive and give the song melodic teeth.
AMP last conversed with the band in December 2020 when we discussed their sophomore album, Full On. Taking about the disc we stated: “the record is a 13 song testament to aggressive and forceful rock“. AMP is so looking forward to the new album. As we said then, “Zero One Zero will make major waves in 2021″.

HALF HEARTED
Half Hearted haven’t let the pandemic slow them down. Since we spotlighted them last March, the band has released five remarkable singles. The group that is comprised of Sean Dalke (Vocals), Jason Grandell (Guitar), Parker Fortune (Drums) and Nicolas Viglione (Bass) just dropped the sublime, “Seeing In Color”. It’s a solid mid rocker with silky vocals and an imposing hook.
Dalke’s vocals are melodic and emotive. The arrangement and production on the song are transcendent with heavenly synths and a harmonic backbeat. The tune is tremendously groove laden and dreamy. “Seeing In Color” validates that Half Hearted are the royalty of break-up rock. AMP is looking forward to their next awesome undertaking.
